Salary of The Prime Minister of India – Mr. Narendra Modi

Mr. Narendra Modi is the current Prime Minister of India in 2021. He receives a basic salary of Rs.2 lacs per month and after cut, the salary remains Rs.1.6 lacs. The Prime Minister is the executive head of India. He is the chief advisor to the President of India and the Council of Ministers. The Parliament decides the Prime Minister’s salary which is revised from time to time as per the provision found in Article 75(6) of the Indian Constitution. Mr. Narendra Modi is the current Prime Minister of India in 2021.

They are paid as per the Article 106 of the Indian Constitution. Apart from the basic salary, an MP will receive ₹70,000 as constituency allowance in addition to many other perks. An MP also gets a secretarial allowance of ₹60,000 per month.

Salary of The President of India – Mr. Ram Nath Kovind

The president of India is the ceremonial head of state of India and the commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces. Ram Nath Kovind is the 14th and current president of India (2021). He receives a basic salary of Rs.5 lac per month and after cut, the salary amounts to Rs.3.5 lacs

The office of president was created when India became a republic on 26 January 1950, when its constitution came into force. The president is indirectly elected by an electoral college comprising both houses of the Parliament of India and the legislative assemblies of each of India’s states and territories, who themselves are all directly elected.

Salary of The Chief Ministers of States in India

In India, a chief minister is the elected head of government of each state out of the 28 states and sometimes a union territory (currently, only the UTs of Delhi and Puducherry have serving Chief Ministers). According to the Constitution of India, the Governor is a state’s head, but de facto executive authority rests with the chief minister.

The salary of Chief Ministers in India varies from state to state. The Chief Minister of Telangana receives the highest salary as compared to other Chief Ministers in India.
