1467 projects of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) have been brought under the Bhoomi Rashi Portal

The Bhoomi Rashi portal has been established with the primary goal of serving as a centralized platform for the online facilitation of land acquisition notifications. Its purpose is to expedite the progress of highway infrastructure development projects in India and streamline the process of compensating for acquired lands. Starting from April 1, 2018, the portal has been made compulsory for handling all Land Acquisition (LA) proposals.

Under this system, state government revenue officials, specifically designated as Competent Authorities for Land Acquisition (CALA), submit Land Acquisition notifications online. Following approval from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, these notifications are transmitted to the Government of India Press via e-Gazette. The Bhoomi Rashi portal is also utilized for the disbursement of compensation for land acquisition. Notably, the portal has significantly reduced the time required for the publication of notifications, enhancing overall efficiency and transparency in the process.

Presently, the Bhoomi Rashi Portal encompasses 1467 projects managed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Detailed project information can be accessed at https://bhoomirashi.gov.in/auth/revamp/search_proj.cshtml.
