During a special meeting chaired by Australian High Commissioner to India Barry O’Farrell in Srinagar, it was announced that the Australian Government Grant for a project in Kargil will be the first of its kind in the history of Ladakh.
The project, titled “Return to Roots,” seeks to combine traditional knowledge with the current school science curriculum to increase scientific engagement among school children from tribal backgrounds in accordance with the National Education Policy goals.
