CCI imposes Rs 936 crore penalty on Google for abuse of dominance
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has imposed another penalty of Rs. 936.44 crore on Google for abusing its dominant position with respect to its Play Store policies.
Google dominance in the markets for licensable OS for smart mobile devices & market for app stores for Android smart mobile OS, in India.
Earlier, CCI had imposed a penalty of ₹1,337.76 croreon Google for abusing its dominant position in multiple markets in the Android Mobile ecosystem.
