In a significant move to address housing needs in rural areas, the Chhattisgarh Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, has introduced the Gramin Awaas Nyay Yojna. Launched on July 19th, this new housing scheme aims to provide free pucca houses to impoverished families who were not eligible for the PM Awaas Yojna based on the 2011 SECC data.
With a budget allocation of 100 crore rupees, the Gramin Awaas Nyay Yojna seeks to identify and assist those underprivileged families residing in rural Chhattisgarh who face housing challenges. The scheme comes as a part of the Nyay schemes initiated by the Chief Minister to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the state’s citizens.
Through an extensive survey conducted by the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, the beneficiaries’ data will be meticulously collected, ensuring that only eligible and deserving families receive the benefits of the housing scheme. The documents required for availing the scheme include Aadhar Card, Residence Certificate, Income Certificate, and Ration Card.
This ambitious housing program aligns with the government’s vision of providing safe and secure housing to the rural poor, offering them the dignity and comfort of a pucca house. By offering a viable solution to those who were previously excluded from housing support, the Gramin Awaas Nyay Yojna marks a significant step towards inclusive development and a better quality of life for the underprivileged in Chhattisgarh.
