In a historic moment for Pakistan, Erica Robin, a model hailing from Karachi, has etched her name in the annals of beauty pageant history by securing the title of “Miss Universe Pakistan 2023.” This remarkable achievement signifies a momentous milestone as Erica becomes the first-ever Pakistani woman to attain this prestigious crown. The competition featured a diverse array of contestants representing different regions of Pakistan, including Hira Inam from Lahore, Jessica Wilson from Rawalpindi, Pakistani-American Malika Alvi from Pennsylvania, and Sabrina Wasim. Jessica Wilson, a 28-year-old cyber security engineer, emerged as the first runner-up, while Hira Inam (24), Malika Alvi (19), and Sabrina Wasim (26) earned their places as finalists.
Notably, the distinguished panel of judges, which included the award-winning actress, mental health advocate, and former Miss International Kylie Verzosa from the Philippines, played a pivotal role in selecting the deserving winner.
Erica Robin’s remarkable journey continues as she prepares to represent Pakistan officially at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to take place in El Salvador later this year. Pakistan is set to make history by sending five talented models to compete on the international stage, marking the country’s debut in the world’s most esteemed beauty competition.
