Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister of State for Communication Devusinh Chauhan inaugurated the ‘Antyodaya Shramik Suraksha Scheme,’ a pilot program designed to provide financial assistance to laborers and their families in the event of workplace accidents. This scheme, which is being implemented through the Indian Postal Department, Indian Post Payment Banks, and the Ministry of Labor and Employment, aims to prioritize the welfare and safety of laborers, ensuring they receive adequate financial security. By launching this initiative, Gujarat has become the first state in India to introduce such a comprehensive welfare scheme for laborers.
