India’s men’s compound archery team continued their dominance at the Asian Games, winning their second gold medal in the competition on Friday. Abhishek Verma, Ojas Deotale and Prathamesh Jawkar defeated South Korea 235-230 in the final, ensuring that India would finish at the top of the podium in the event.

The Indian team got off to a strong start, taking a one-point lead after the first end. They extended their lead to five points after the third end, and were never threatened in the final end, scoring a perfect 60/60 to seal the victory.

India’s success in the compound archery event has been one of the highlights of their Asian Games campaign so far. They have already won two gold medals and are assured of at least one more, with Ojas Deotale and Abhishek Verma set to meet in the men’s individual final.

The Indian women’s compound team also won gold earlier today, defeating Chinese Taipei 230-229 in the final. India’s performance in archery at the Asian Games has been truly remarkable, and they will be hoping to continue their success in the remaining events.
