Lloyds Banking Group, a leading financial services group based in the UK, has appointed Sirisha Voruganti as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the newly established Lloyds Technology Centre in Hyderabad, India. Voruganti, a globally recognized technology and innovation leader, joins the group from JCPenney, where she served as the Managing Director and a Board member for JCPenney in India.

Bringing with her extensive experience in IT architecture, data engineering, and fintech innovation, Voruganti has held senior technology positions in various global firms. She was notably the first woman to hold the position of Managing Director for JP Morgan Chase in Technology in India, and she has also served as an Executive Vice President of Architecture, Data, and Shared Services for Mastercard. The establishment of Lloyds Technology Centre is part of Lloyds Banking Group’s strategic investment of £3 billion over the next three years, aimed at transforming its digital offerings and staying at the forefront of technological advancements.

Lloyds Banking Group, formed through the acquisition of HBOS by Lloyds TSB in 2009, is a British financial institution.
