In the early hours of Thursday, officials reported that a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck the Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to property.
The National Centre for Seismology indicated that the earthquake originated near Kishtwar at 12:38 am. The quake’s coordinates were recorded at a latitude of 33.34 degrees north and a longitude of 76.67 degrees, with a depth of five kilometers.
