MoHUA launches the ‘City Beauty Competition’

The ‘City Beauty Competition’ portal has been launched by the Ministry on April 26, 2023. The competition is open to all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across India and aims to recognize and encourage their efforts in creating beautiful, innovative and inclusive public spaces. The competition is based on five pillars: accessibility, amenities, activities, aesthetics, and ecology.

The competition will felicitate the most beautiful wards and public spaces in the cities, with top entries being awarded at the State and National levels. The last date for participating in the competition is July 15, 2023, and participants can submit the required data/documents through the online facility created on https://citybeautycompetition.in.

The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) will provide handholding support to ULBs in this exercise. The City Beauty Competition aims to promote heritage and culture, sustainable communities, ecological conservation, and encourage peer learning among states and cities.
