National Technology Day is observed on May 11 every year to mark the anniversary of the Pokhran nuclear tests of 1998.
The theme for this year’s National Technology day 2022 is ‘ Integrated Approach in science and technology for a sustainable future’.
Pokhran Test was a series of five explosions conducted by India at the Indian Army’s Pokhran Test Range in Rajasthan.
The day also marks the flight of Hansa-3, India’s first indigenous aircraft, which was flown in Bengaluru when the nuclear tests were being organized in Rajasthan.
