Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora clinch Gold in Women’s World Boxing Championship

India has won the second Gold in World Women’s Boxing Championship at  K.D. Jadhav Hall IG Stadium New Delhi. Saweety Boora defeated her rival Lina Wang of China by 4-3  in the 81-kilogram category. She became the seventh Indian boxer, male or female, to win the World championship.

Earlier, Nitu Ghanghas clinched Gold in the 48-kilogram category of the IBA Womens World Boxing Championship. Nitu defeated Mongolia’s Altantsetseg Lutsaikhan 5-0 via unanimous decision today.
