Unified Grievance Redressal Platform: CPGRAMS

Introduction: The Centralised Public Grievances Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) is a unified grievance redressal platform created by the Government of India.

Access and Functionality:

  • Accessible at https://pgportal.gov.in.
  • Open for all citizens to lodge grievances related to Central Ministries/Departments/State Governments/Union Territories (UTs).
  • Ministries/Departments at both Central and State levels have access to the system.
  • Grievances are resolved by respective Ministries/Departments/States/UTs on a decentralized basis.
  • Approximately 1.3 lakh Grievance Officers from Central and State Governments are mapped on the CPGRAMS platform.
  • Integrated with grievance portals of 19 States/UTs for streamlined functionality.

Introduction: The Good Governance Index (GGI) framework was launched by the Government in 2019 to assess the state of governance across all States and Union Territories (UTs).

Purpose and Methodology:

  • Aims to provide a comparative picture of governance among States/UTs.
  • Encourages a competitive spirit for improvement in governance practices.

  • Second edition released in 2021 as GGI 2020-21.
