Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new premises of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Vanijya Bhawan in New Delhi.
Mr Modi said – India is ranked 46th in the Global Innovation Index and continuously improving. He said, despite every challenge like the collapse of global supply chain, India made exports worth 50 lakh crore rupees. The Prime Minister said, initiatives such as MUDRA, PM- SVANidhi are all examples of ensuring Ease of Access for beneficiaries.
Mr. Modi also launched National Import-Export Record for Yearly Analysis of Trade NIRYAT Portal. The Prime Minister said, the New Vanijya Bhawan and NIRYAT Portal represent the aspirations of an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. Mr Modi said, the New Vanijya Bhawan will create new aspirations that will be supported by ease of doing business which will lead to ease of living.
The new portal, NIRYAT (National Import-Export Record for Yearly Analysis of Trade), which is developed as a one-stop platform for stakeholders to get all necessary information related to India’s foreign trade. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said, this is a digital building and it won’t have the typical pile of papers.
