In an ode to the rich traditions of Gujarat and the exuberance of the Navratri festival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has authored a Garba song titled ‘Maadi.’ This musical masterpiece, composed by the talented Meet brothers, Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh, features the soulful vocals of Divya Kumar. Complementing this musical celebration is ‘Garbo,’ another enchanting track, performed by the talented singer Dhvani Bhanushali and composed by Tanishk Bagchi. The release of ‘Garbo’ under the Jjust Music banner, founded by actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani, received an overwhelming response on YouTube, amassing a remarkable 240,000 views in just three hours.

Navratri, one of India’s most widely celebrated Hindu festivals, holds a special place in Gujarat, where it transforms into a nine-night dance extravaganza, possibly the longest of its kind in the world. Over these nine consecutive nights, people from villages and cities across the state congregate in open spaces to partake in the festivities. Additionally, the songs and dances often feature stories and emotions from the relationship between Lord Krishna and the Gopis, adding an extra layer of cultural significance to the ras garba music.
