Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will observe the Road Safety Week from Wednesday to 17th of January across the country to propagate the cause of safer roads for all under the Swachhata Pakhwada.
The Ministry said, during the Week, various activities will be organised throughout the Country to create awareness among the general public and to give an opportunity to all stakeholders to contribute to the cause of road safety. This includes various awareness campaigns related to causes of road accidents and measures to prevent them.
The Ministry said, several activities including Nukkad Nataks and Sensitization Campaigns will be conducted at various locations in the National Capital. It said, an Essay Writing and Poster Making competition also will be organised for the general public including school students, corporates and Non-Government Organisations at Indian Agricultural Research Institute Pusa in New Delhi.
The Ministry urged all Members of Parliament, State Governments and related stakeholders to participate in the event conducted for road safety awareness.
