In a significant development, Sanjiv Puri has been re-appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Ltd, one of India’s prominent conglomerates. The decision, based on the recommendation of the committee, will come into effect from July 22, 2024, and will entail a term of five years. With a remarkable career spanning over three decades at ITC and its subsidiaries, Sanjiv Puri has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. Joining ITC in January 1986, Puri has held various pivotal roles within the organization. He assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer in February 2017 and was later re-designated as the Managing Director in May 2018. Puri took on the role of Chairman of the conglomerate on May 13, 2019.
