In a strategic development aimed at reinforcing its leadership structure, the State Bank of India (SBI) has welcomed four distinguished individuals to its central board. This decisive move underlines SBI’s commitment to driving its vision and strategy with a strengthened leadership team. The appointed directors, including the returning members Ketan Shivji Vikamsey and Mrugank Madhukar Paranjape, are set to contribute their expertise over a significant tenure of three years, from June 26, 2023, to June 25, 2026.

Ketan Shivji Vikamsey and Mrugank Madhukar Paranjape have secured reappointment as directors, elected under Section 19(c) of the SBI Act 1955, continuing their tenure on SBI’s central board. These accomplished individuals have been serving in this capacity since June 2020, adding a wealth of experience and insights to the bank’s strategic decisions.

Rajesh Kumar Dubey and Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat, both esteemed professionals, have been newly appointed as Directors under the same section of the SBI Act, 1955, further enriching the expertise of the bank’s central board.

Ketan Shivji Vikamsey brings to the board a wealth of experience as a senior partner at KKC & Associates LLP, a respected Chartered Accountancy firm with a legacy tracing back to 1936. Notably, he is registered as an Independent Director with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Additionally, he currently holds the pivotal position of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of NCDEX e-Markets Limited, and his past roles include MD & CEO of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited.

Rajesh Kumar Dubey, with a career rooted in service, presently leads as Executive Director (Personnel) at Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). His journey began in 1988 as a Direct Recruit Officer, showcasing his longstanding commitment to the insurance industry and his understanding of organizational dynamics.

Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat, a prominent Chartered Accountant and main Partner of M/s. D. S. Shekhawat & Associates, brings his financial acumen to the central board. His leadership extends beyond the financial realm, as he also chairs the Th. Jaswant Singh Memorial Trust. With a record of service as an Independent Director on the Board of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), where he also chaired the Audit Committee, Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat’s diverse expertise is set to contribute to SBI’s strategic deliberations.
