India’s Sift Kaur Samra won the individual women’s 50m rifle 3 positions (3P) like Prone, the Standing and the Kneeling positions at the ISSF Junior World Cup 2022 in Suhl, Germany. Sift Kaur Samra beat Norway’s Julie Johannessen 17-9 in the final. India’s Ashi Chouksey also won bronze in the event.
The ISSF Junior World Championship was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 2017. It covers a variety of both Olympic and non-Olympic events in rifle, pistol and shotgun, with individual and team events. The ISSF defines a ‘junior’ as an athlete under the age of 21 on December 31 of the competition year
