Minister’s Address and Vision
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized the significance of the launched initiatives in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He highlighted their role in implementing NEP 2020 effectively, empowering teachers and learners, and ensuring inclusive and quality education.

Shri Sanjay Kumar highlighted the commitment of the Department to achieve a Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) of 100% at the secondary level by 2030. He also emphasized the importance of new textbooks and the 52 Primers in Indian languages.
Details of National Mission for Mentoring (NMM)
The NMM aims to provide valuable support and guidance to teachers for their professional growth through a dedicated digital platform. Mentors will offer quality mentoring sessions to cater to diverse learner needs.
Details of National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST)
The NPST focuses on enhancing teachers’ personal and professional development by defining expected performance standards. It aims to ensure students are taught by qualified and motivated teachers.
Role of 52 Primers in Indian Languages
These primers aim to transform early childhood education by providing access to education in mother tongue/local languages, promoting deeper understanding, and fostering cultural rootedness.
PMeVidya Initiative
Under PMeVidya, 200 DTH TV channels for school education were launched, facilitating multi-mode access to education through various platforms in addition to TV and radio.
National Vidya Samiksha Kendra
Operationalized by NCERT, it facilitates research, development, and capacity building programs in education, integrating with state counterparts and enabling visibility across various educational programs.
Upgradation of DIETs and SCERTs
Financial assistance totaling Rs 9000 crores will be provided for the physical upgradation of all 613 DIETs to develop them as DIETs of Excellence, with future plans to upgrade SCERTs similarly.
