Every year, August 26 is celebrated as Women’s Day across the world. On this day, in the year 1920, the United States passed the nineteenth amendment to permit women the legal right to vote. Women around the world have always fought for the rights they deserve to bring the social changes required for a better future.
This year’s theme for Women’s Equality Day is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
