Arogya Manthan 2023, a grand celebration and reflection of India’s healthcare achievements, took place today as Prime Minister Jay addressed the nation to mark the successful completion of 5 years of Ayushman Bharat, the government’s flagship healthcare program, and 2 years of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
The Ayushman Bharat initiative, launched in 2018, has been instrumental in transforming India’s healthcare landscape. It aimed to provide financial protection to over 100 million vulnerable families and has since then successfully delivered healthcare services to those in need. The program has not only expanded healthcare access but has also significantly reduced the financial burden on families during medical emergencies.
In his address, Prime Minister Jay highlighted the transformative impact of Ayushman Bharat on the lives of millions of Indians. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission focuses on creating a seamless, paperless, and interoperable digital health infrastructure. It includes features such as the National Health ID, the DigiDoctor platform, and the Health Records Management System, which have revolutionized the healthcare sector by providing access to medical records and telemedicine services to remote areas.
