Dell Technologies and Intel have formed a collaboration to set up an artificial intelligence (AI) lab at the Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology in Telangana. This initiative aims to address the digital skills gap and empower students by integrating Intel’s ‘AI for Youth’ program into the institute’s curriculum. The primary goal is to prepare students for the industry with the required expertise and create an AI-ready ecosystem on campus.

By incorporating Intel’s ‘AI for Youth’ program into the existing curriculum, Dell and Intel’s collaboration focuses on demystifying AI for the next generation. The objective is to equip students with essential digital skills, reducing the disparity between industry demands and graduates’ skill sets.

To effectively educate students on AI concepts, Intel will provide training to selected teachers as part of the partnership. Students will benefit from an extensive 170-hour AI curriculum, consisting of bootcamps, AI-Thons, virtual showcases, and other activities designed to enhance their AI skills.

A crucial element of this collaboration is the establishment of an AI Skills lab on campus, enabling students to gain practical experience and develop AI-driven solutions. The lab will foster innovation in emerging AI technologies such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and statistical data analytics.

Dell and Intel place significant emphasis on using AI for social good. By integrating AI into their projects, students will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that tackle real-time societal challenges. This approach promotes the ethical and responsible use of AI to drive positive change.

Furthermore, Dell and Intel plan to extend their collaboration to other educational institutions across India. By partnering with more schools and universities, their vision is to create a nationwide AI-ready student community capable of effectively addressing future challenges and contributing to the country’s technological advancement.
