The Startup20 Shikhar Summit concluded successfully in Gurugram, organized by the Startup20 Engagement Group as part of the India G20 Presidency. During the closing ceremony, the torch was officially handed over to Brazil, the next G20 presidency country, signifying their commitment to continue the Startup20 initiative in 2024. The summit’s significance was further emphasized with the release of a Policy Communiqué, outlining specific action points aimed at defining startups, establishing supportive institutions, facilitating access to capital, easing market regulations, and promoting inclusion of underrepresented communities. HRH Prince Fahad Bin Mansoor of Saudi Arabia endorsed the call to invest $1 trillion per annum into the startup ecosystem by 2030, acknowledging the immense potential of startups in driving economic growth and disruptive innovation. Moreover, the summit showcased outstanding national and international startups through various showcases, providing a platform for them to exhibit their innovative products, services, and technologies, attracting potential investors, partners, and customers. The event underscored the importance of global collaboration and cross-border synergies in shaping the future of the startup ecosystem.
