Govt sets up task force to promote SSP fertiliser

The government has set up a task force under the aegis of Fertiliser Association of India to find out ways to improve the quality of Single Super Phosphate (SSP) fertiliser and promote its use as an alternative to Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP), Parliament was informed on Friday.

Bangladesh will receive electricity from power plant in Jharkhand

Bangladesh will start receiving electricity from the Godda power plant in Jharkhand from the first week of March, says state minister for power Nasrul Hamid. Talking to media in Dhaka on Sunday, Nasrul Hamid said 750 megawatt power will come from the first unit of Adani power plant in Godda in March. Another 750 megawatt of power will come from the second unit of the Godda power plant in April.

PM Modi to dedicate helicopter manufacturing plant of HAL to nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation a helicopter manufacturing plant of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, HAL in Tumakuru on February 6. The Greenfield Helicopter factory, spread across 615 acres, will manufacture the Light Utility Helicopters. It has Heli-runway, flight hangar, final assembly hangar, structure assembly hangar, air traffic control and support services. It complies fully with Industry 4.0 standard tools and techniques for its operations.

Amit Shah laid foundation of Nano Urea Plant in Jharkhand

Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of a Rs 450-crore nano urea plant and township of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) in Jharkhand's Deoghar. This will be India's fifth nano urea plant. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the world's first nano urea plant in Gujarat last year, according to IFFCO.

Goa launched Vision for All School Eye Health program

The government of Goa has launched the Vision for All School Eye Health program in partnership with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation and Prasad Netralaya. The Vision for All School Eye Health will focus on training 2000 teachers on basic visual acuity tests for the children in their respective schools, followed by detailed refraction by qualified professionals from Prasad Netralaya.

Govt extends PM-KUSUM scheme till March 2026

The government has extended PM-KUSUM scheme till March 2026 as its implementation was significantly affected due to the pandemic.Launched in 2019, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) aimed at adding solar capacity of 30,800 MW by 2022 with total central financial support of Rs 34,422 crore, including service charges to the implementing agencies.

According to data, released by the RBI, as of December 2022, the total number of micro ATMs across the country has reached 14.19 lakh. But, there has been no significant surge in the value of money withdrawn through these devices since June 2022.
