Every year, the full week ending on the last Sunday of September is observed as the International Week of the Deaf (IWD). In 2022, IWD is being observed from September 19 to 25 September 2022. The theme of the 2022 International Week of Deaf People is “Building Inclusive Communities for All”.

World Biofuel Day is celebrated annually on August 10 to highlight the importance of biofuels, which are produced from animal waste, algae, and industrial and agricultural waste. Biofuels, unlike fossil fuels, are produced in a short amount of time and are liquid or gaseous. They are environment friendly, sustainable, renewable and biodegradable.

Global Forgiveness Day is observed on 7th of July every year to celebrate goodwill among people and it gives us a chance to set things right and make our relationships stronger.In 1994, The Christian Embassy of Christ’s Ambassadors founded National Forgiveness Day in British Columbia. The day started gaining momentum and was later renamed 'Global Forgiveness Day. 

World Kiswahili Day is celebrated on the 7th of July every year following a declaration by UNESCO member states in this regard.Kiswahili is one of the most widely spoken languages in Africa and the most widely spoken in sub-Saharan Africa. Kiswahili is also the only African language that is an official language of the African Union.
