Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma launched the online portal of the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act (MRSSA).The chief minister said that the digitised system will not only ensure the safety and security of the residents, but it will also act as a strong intelligence gathering system for authorities.

The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) launched the beta version of DigiYatra app for Android platform. The Delhi Airport is among the first few airports to introduce this system in the country. DIAL had installed the required facility at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport and already conducted its trials. Nearly 20,000 passengers had a seamless and secure travel experience after using the facility during the trials.

J&K government has accorded sanction to the creation of the Village Defence Guards Scheme (VDGS)-2022 to “prevent the incidents of terrorist acts inspired and supported from across the border and to boost the security grid in the Union Territory.”

To save cows from slaughter, the State government has launched ‘Punyakoti’ cow adoption scheme with public participation. Announcing the ‘Vidya Nidhi’ scholarship extended to students from weavers’ community too, Bommai said it would benefit about 10,000-12,000 children. ‘Shtree Samarthya’ Yojane would provide Rs 1.50 lakh as grant for each Women’s Self-Help Group and provide it with latest training in skills and marketing. ‘Swami Vivekananda Yuvashakthi Sanghas’ would be opened in 28,000 villages of the State and the youth would be provided with financial assistance and skills training to get self-employed.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) on July 28, launched the ‘Nilekani Centre at AI4Bharat”, to advance the state of Indian language technology. The Digital India Bhashini mission has been launched with the goal of all services and information being available to citizens in their own language with 'collaborative AI’ at the core of the design. AI4Bharat will further contribute to and accelerate the Indic language AI work as a public good and is fully aligned with the goals of the Bhashini mission.

The Kerala government is all set to come up with an alternative to the popular corporate online cab service by launching its own e-taxi service from August 2022. This is considered to be the first such initiative by any state government in the country.Named 'Kerala Savari', the online taxi hiring service is being rolled out by the state Labour Department linking the existing auto-taxi networks in the state with an aim to ensure safe and dispute-free travel for the public at affordable rates prevailing in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled ‘SPRINT challenges’, an initiative aimed at boosting the usage of indigenous technology in the Indian Navy. The NIIO, in cooperation with the Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), aims to induct at least 75 new indigenous technologies/ products into the Indian Navy in sync with ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ commemorating 75 years of the country’s Independence.This collaborative project is named SPRINT — Supporting Pole-Vaulting in R&D through iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence), NIIO and TDAC (Technology Development Acceleration Cell).

UIDAI has launched a new mobile app named AadhaarFaceRd to perform face authentication through mobile app from anywhere and at any time. Aadhaar holders' identities, including their Aadhaar numbers and any demographic or biometric data, can be stored in the Central Identity Data Repository using face authentication.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor (L-G) VK Saxena announced significant changes in the property tax policy of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) after its unification.The L-G also launched a SAH-BHAGITA scheme to increase the involvement of the Residential Welfare Association (RWAs) in optimal tax collection and waste management systems.Under this scheme, the RWAs will be incentivised for their efforts to improve efficiency and compliance in tax collection.

Kerala Government will roll out MEDISEP scheme- the medical insurance scheme for State Government employees, pensioners and their eligible family members from 1st July, 2022.The scheme will provide cashless medical assistance with a comprehensive coverage up to 3 lakhs per year. The annual premium would be Rs 4,800 plus 18 per cent GST for the policy period of 2022-24.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Udyami Bharat’ programme in New Delhi on 30th June. During the event, Prime Minister will launch the ‘Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance’ Scheme, ‘Capacity Building of First-Time MSME Exporters’ Scheme and new features of the ‘Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme’, PMEGP.

This programme is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the Meta GOAL 2.0 initiative. It aims to digitally upskill ten lakh youth from tribal communities of the country and open up opportunities for them using digital technology. The Ministry is primarily focusing on promoting entrepreneurship amongst women through this programme.

This portal has been developed under the vision of ‘Mission Karmayogi’, which was conceptualized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring efficiency to the actions of all government employees.‘Dak Karmayogi’ portal will enhance the competencies of about four lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks and departmental employees. It will enable all the trainees to access the uniform standardized training content online or in blended campus mode.
