Kerala govt to launch online cab service ‘Kerala Savari’ in August

The Kerala government is all set to come up with an alternative to the popular corporate online cab service by launching its own e-taxi service from August 2022. This is considered to be the first such initiative by any state government in the country.

Named ‘Kerala Savari’, the online taxi hiring service is being rolled out by the state Labour Department linking the existing auto-taxi networks in the state with an aim to ensure safe and dispute-free travel for the public at affordable rates prevailing in the state.

Haryana CM launches ‘smart e-beat’ system for Gurugram police

An app-based system for police attendance and real-time monitoring of patrolling by personnel was launched by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Gurugram.

The CM launched the ‘Smart E-Beat’ system at an event at the office of the Commissioner of Police and flagged off 119 motorcycle police riders connected with it.

UP CM launches scheme for cashless medical benefit for state employees, pensioners

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scheme to provide cashless medical facility to more than 75 lakh people including 22 lakh state government employees, pensioners and their dependents.

Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme, the eligible people will get cashless medical facilities at government-run institutions, medical colleges and hospitals without any financial limit.

COP 26 President and NITI Aayog launch E-AMRIT app to boost electric mobility

During the visit of COP 26, NITI Aayog launched two significant initiatives — E-AMRIT (Accelerated e-Mobility Revolution for India’s Transportation) mobile application to raise awareness on electric mobility and the Report on Advanced Chemistry Cell Battery Reuse and Recycling Market in India.

The e-AMRIT app offers users key information like engagement tools that enable them to assess benefits of electric vehicles, determine savings and get all the information on developments in the Indian electric vehicle market and industry at their fingertips.

PM Modi unveils ‘SPRINT challenges’ for Indian Navy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled ‘SPRINT challenges’, an initiative aimed at boosting the usage of indigenous technology in the Indian Navy. The NIIO, in cooperation with the Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), aims to induct at least 75 new indigenous technologies/ products into the Indian Navy in sync with ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ commemorating 75 years of the country’s Independence.

This collaborative project is named SPRINT — Supporting Pole-Vaulting in R&D through iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence), NIIO and TDAC (Technology Development Acceleration Cell).

Delhi Lieutenant Governor launches SAH-BHAGITA scheme

Delhi Lieutenant Governor (L-G) VK Saxena announced significant changes in the property tax policy of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) after its unification.

The L-G also launched a SAH-BHAGITA scheme to increase the involvement of the Residential Welfare Association (RWAs) in optimal tax collection and waste management systems.

Under this scheme, the RWAs will be incentivised for their efforts to improve efficiency and compliance in tax collection.

Delhi Govt announces pilot project with UNICEF for employment opportunities to DSEU students

The Kejriwal government announced a new pilot project with the UNICEF to enable access to employment opportunities for students of the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU). The DSEU and UNICEF have introduced ‘Career Awareness Sessions’ for students.

Tripura launched ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’

8,850 students aged between 6-14 years dropped out of their schools in Tripura during the Covid-19 pandemic, state education minister Ratan Lal Nath said.

The government will conduct a door-to-door survey soon to find out if there are any more school drop-out students. The government has decided to restart the ‘vidyalaya chalo abhiyan’ (let’s go to school) to convince the dropout students to join school again.

PARIMAN: The Geo-Portal for NCR made Public

National Capital Region (NCR) is presently spread over 55,083 Sq. Kms and has four participating states (24 Districts and entire NCT of Delhi) as its constituent area. For the purpose of effective utilization of Remote Sensing and GIS technology, a web geo-portal has been developed through National Informatics Centre (NIC), initially for use by NCR Participating states and the Office of NCRPB.

This Geo-Portal will help to improve decentralized planning and management in NCR region.

Delhi govt launches programme to upskill construction workers

The Delhi government launched the ’Mission Kushal Karmi’ programme under which labourers registered with the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will be offered a skill development training course.

The government will also provide a sum of at least ₹4,200 to each worker who takes the course to compensate for the loss of work during the 15-day programme.

Kerala Govt to roll out MEDISEP scheme for State Government employees from 1st July

Kerala Government will roll out MEDISEP scheme- the medical insurance scheme for State Government employees, pensioners and their eligible family members from 1st July, 2022.

The scheme will provide cashless medical assistance with a comprehensive coverage up to 3 lakhs per year. The annual premium would be Rs 4,800 plus 18 per cent GST for the policy period of 2022-24.

Govt launches e-learning portal ‘Dak Karmayogi’ to enhance competency of Dak Sevaks and dept employees

This portal has been developed under the vision of ‘Mission Karmayogi’, which was conceptualized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring efficiency to the actions of all government employees.

‘Dak Karmayogi’ portal will enhance the competencies of about four lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks and departmental employees. It will enable all the trainees to access the uniform standardized training content online or in blended campus mode.

Gujarat CM launches 17th ‘Shala Praveshotsav’

In Gujarat, the Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the 17th ‘Shala Praveshotsav’, the drive to enrol students in primary schools in the state from today.

The three-day enrollment drive begins from Memadpur primary school in Vadgam taluka of Banaskantha district. Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister Patel said that the dropout rate of students’ reduced drastically following the mass enrolment drives of the children.
